This is Ryan. He co-owns a studio with his wife and two other artists in NOTO. He’s a photographer with a distinct style using photo manipulation. Ryan also works at a local radio station.
“I got started as a freelance music journalist when I was trying to get a spot at a hard rock and metal magazine, that was shut down a while ago. They weren’t looking for any writers, but they needed photographers, so I started submitting photos and bugged the editor enough to get a couple of articles published.”
“What’s your biggest struggle right now?”
“My biggest struggle right now is finding the time to do things. I work anywhere between 8-12 hours a day at the radio station and then for a couple of hours every other Saturday and I also have a family, and then you factor in my art, too. Lots of sleepless nights and lots of angry mornings, but somehow we make it work.”
